Join us in demanding responsible actions on the part of South Carolina legislators. Fix our deteriorating highways!

Taxpayers clearly cannot begin to take on the full burden of paying for better roads. But just as clearly we must begin to address the problem. Every year we fail to act, we fall further behind and the price tag gets bigger. It is irresponsible to keep looking the other way and leave the public uninformed or blindsided by this eminent threat. We have choices, but they appear to be limited with no painless or magical fix. We can make a decision to provide additional revenue from increasing the motor user fee or other fees, allocating funds from general revenues or turning the problem over to local governments. But we must make a decision.
